Volunteer Positions Open: IT | Journalist

Directors
All applicants need to have
a strong understanding of and appreciation for the various alternative energy
modalities and pursuits, especially in non-conventional arenas where the major
breakthroughs are most likely to appear. An open mind is a must, as well as a
clear discernment of possible groundbreaking developments versus bogus science.
It is important to have patience with and know how to handle the vast number of
well-meaning claimants that don't really have what they think they have, as
well as the quirky personalities that often accompany those with genius minds,
as well as the obnoxiousness of those who are sure they have the one and only
true solution, not to mention the personality conflicts that will arise with
fellow workers. All personnel need to become conversant with and active in
the PESWiki site, helping newcomer participants (volunteer and salaried) to feel
welcome and to coach them along in the best way to build the content of that
site. While PES will be selling energy related devices, it must maintain an
objectivity to its primary mission of educating the world in the best energy
technologies presently available, as well as in forthcoming technologies.
Sales are secondary to instruction. Our primary mission is to be a
repository of the best information available on alternative energy and to serve
the field by promoting the development of the same.
Volunteer Openings
IT
The main task right now is to create the electronic
infrastructure needed for the New
Energy Congress. We will be receiving energy technology submissions,
reviewing those submissions, ranking the submissions according to our
criteria, then listing the technologies according to their ranking. Many
other IT needs exist as well.
